A new baby on the way is so much fun, isn’t it?
Nursery decor has come a long way since the 80’s and 90’s and I’m loving all the trendy nursery decor I see on Pinterest.
If you’re looking to step away from traditional nursery decor, here are some fresh decorating ideas for your baby’s room.
Get inspired by nursery night lights with unique designs.
Southwestern Nursery Decor
One of the hottest trends in nursery decor for 2016 is southwestern. Tribal rugs, bow and arrows, Aztec prints and antlers are making appearances in nurseries all across the U.S. this year.
Add some dancing Kokopelli decor to complete the look.
Ever since Restoration Hardware became
the THE place to get home decor, nurseries have been following suit with rustic inspired looks.
This rustic nursery nitelight with a wild moose fits right in among the wooden wall signs, wood plank pallet walls, metal monogram letters & decorative antlers.
Although chevron has been trending for awhile, we’re loving this aqua chevron nursery with the initial B above the changing table. And how cute is that cloud mobile?! A truly inspirational nursery.
We think a letter B night light would be the perfect addition to this baby’s room, don’t you? (Click the image to order in any letter/color).
So many nurseries are turning monochromatic or lacking color altogether – which is so elegant and we love it! But color lovers may crave a bit more and will be inspired by this mint and lilac nursery we found on Pinterest.
Stay away from the traditional pink for girls and blue for boys – we love the idea of working in purple nursery decor for either gender.
Create Your Own Theme
Vintage Car Theme – If your husband loves to tinker with cars there’s a good change your son will grow up to love cars too. Start his appreciation for vintage vehicles off as soon as he arrives home with vintage car nursery decor.
We just love the wall decals of old autos & how cute would this old-time automobile night light be?
Adventure – If you and your husband are adventurous people, we imagine you hope your child will have a taste for adventure too.
Use nature-themed colors and maps to encourage outdoor exploration & world travel as your child grows. A turquoise world explorer night light is a great addition to this theme.
Paint the walls green and keep the bedding and other decor neutral with creams and beiges like this beach themed nursery.
Illuminate the room for late-night feedings with a green sea turtle night light.
We hope you’ve enjoyed some of our nursery theme ideas and coordinating night lights.
